Marina was born in Athens, Greece and studied Art & Design. 

She worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in major publishing houses, and has illustrated archaeological guides, cultural editions and children’s books.

Her eBay art shop, sold over 700 original miniature acrylic and watercolour paintings and won the title of top seller on this category. 

She moved to Ras Al Khaimah United Arab Emirates, in 2015 and then to Dubai in 2019. Ever since, she works as an art teacher and organizing art events. 

Marina has participated in several art exhibitions in the UAE.

Rakhi Sawalani and Marina founded The Desert Art Collective, an Instagram page where they post and promote Middle East artists.
